Profile Summary
Dr. Mrs. Chidiadi Trinitas Duru is a distinguished environmentalist, public health professional, entrepreneur, and philanthropist with a strong background in Registered General Nursing and geriatric healthcare. She is widely recognized for her leadership, humanitarian vision, and dedication to improving healthcare, education, and social welfare across Africa and Europe.
She holds a B.Sc. in Environmental Biology (Nigeria), Registered General Nursing certification (Ghana), M.Sc. in Public Health (USA), and Ph.D. in Public Health (USA). Her professional career spans Ghana, Nigeria, and Austria, where she gained specialized experience in geriatric and elderly care, particularly through her work in Altenheim (nursing homes) and Mobile Dienst (mobile nursing and home-care services).
As the Founder of Valnitas Foundation and Valnitas School, Dr. Duru promotes education, health awareness, and empowerment initiatives for vulnerable and underprivileged communities. She also serves as the General Coordinator for Africa and Europe at the Society of Good Shepherd Foundation, where she drives impactful humanitarian collaborations across continents.
In recognition of her outstanding humanitarian service, the Society of Good Shepherd Foundation established Trinitas Home Care, St. Louis, USA, in her honor — a tribute to her remarkable contributions to elderly care, youth empowerment, and community health outreach.

Parental Influence
Dr. Duru’s mother, a Registered General Nurse and Midwife, successfully managed a maternity center and served as a source of inspiration for her daughter’s humanitarian passion and nursing career. Her father, an educationist (M.Ed.), philanthropist, Christian leader, and politician, deeply influenced her values of discipline, service, and leadership, which continue to shape her professional and personal life.
Personal Life
Dr. Duru is married with children and remains devoted to promoting nursing excellence, education, elderly care, and global humanitarian service.
